"Connect with Facebook" yes plx
I've been having a look at Facebook and how we can utilize it more with our game. Mafia Wars itself is based on Facebook, but there is plenty of programs and games out there that aren't on the Facebook website but connect via 'Facebook connect' and use it's database for information on the player for a more focused and personal experience.
With Facebook connect we can get information about players, post scores and achievements on their status page and also invite the players friends for a bigger possible player net. It shouldn't be too hard to learn the basics in regards to AS3 over the next few weeks.

New Year, New Project
We've been given a new brief which has asked us to create a game revolving around a music star. We have the option to choose between Lady Gaga, The killers and Dizzee Rascal. The game has to provide the star with advertising/publicity, be fun and sell.
We decided to go with Dizzee Rascal with the rationale that people who listen to Dizzee are in the key demographic of people who play computer games, whether casual or hardcore. So far we have two ideas to go with, one sounding very promising. We will post them up here next week after we have submitted them to our tutors.
